Medicine ball
Set Up and Action:
- Stand with your feet shoulder length apart and knees slightly bent.
- Place the medicine ball between the palms of your hands and hold in front of your face so that your elbows are facing down towards the floor.
- Tighten the abdominal/core muscles and straighten the arms above the head.
- Return and repeat.
Injury Prevention Tip:
Neck and Back Injury Prevention – Keep the head straight, do not tuck the chin or extend the head and keep the back straight.
Overall Injury Prevention – Make sure you are comfortable with the exercise and medicine ball before you perform this exercise.
