4 Cheap Weekend Summer Adventures!!!

Summer time is the perfect time for dusting off your adventure shoes and heading out for a cheap and easy weekend of fun. Here are 3 great weekend summer ADVENTURES!

1. Get Outside

Taking time to be in nature during the early summer or late summer season is something unbelievable! Take a camping trip to a place that has plenty of hiking, biking, and fishing and where you can cool off with some canoeing, kyaking, paddle boarding, and tubing. Obviously, the more equipment you bring with you the cheaper your trip will be!

You may even be able to take some time out for a whitewater rafting trip or some zip lining, depending on how much you want to spend.

2. Road Trip It

Before you get angry with me about gas pricing I have to tell you that by road trip I mean BIKE TRIP. Map out your route, pack your bags and head out on the road as a cyclist. You get a great workout, the wind blowing in your hair, firsthand sightseeing and the beautiful smells of summer all rolled into one!

3. Join a Group

Joining a group means that you not only get to meet new people, but you get some great weekend adventures ideas from each group you belong to. For example, I belong to a few meetup.com groups that do various activities together each weekend. These activities range from Outdoors & Adventure to Socializing and even Hobbies. To join a group today go to meetup.com.

4. Volunteer

Some people may not see volunteering as a great summer weekend getaway, but it most certainly can be. Joining groups like Habitat for Humanity and The Peace Corps can not only send you to places you have never been before, like The Caribbean and Europe, but it can also help you meet new people and share some of your talents with those less fortunate. And what better adventure is there than helping out someone else in need?
